Israeli Defence Minister Benny Gantz today has ordered more air strikes at the Gaza Strip and called the reserve forces.
According to the daily Maariv, Gantz made the decision after a meeting with his chief of staff, Aviv Kochev and senior security officials in Israel, to assess the situation in Gaza.
The 13th Israeli Channel reported that the reserve will be deployed in areas around Gaza to strengthen security, the TCh reports.
Until this morning, 26 Palestinians have been killed, including nine children, while more than 800 were injured in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip and clashes on the West Coast and the Eastern Framework.
The Israeli Army said late Monday it has launched a military operation, codenamed “Gardian of the Walls”, to respond to what it called rocket launch from the Gaza Strip.
Tension was shifted from the Eastern Framework to Gaza after Palestinian resistance groups in Gaza pledged to avenge Israeli attacks on Al-Axa Mosque and the Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood of Kuds if they do not stop.
