Croatia's President Zoran Milanovic has offered to be guaranteed to the Special Court for former President Hashim Thaci and others for freedom protection.
So said Hisen Berisha, former general of UCK in Kostunica and former deputy candidate from PDK ranks on the show.
” A friend of mine in Croatia tells me that the Croatian president has offered to be guaranteed, of the freedom of these personalities. And not just one of them who might have a friend in this case. Wessel-but for all those who are there” Berisha has declared
Berisha has criticised Kosovo institutions for not having the courage to ensure the freedom of the former UCK leaders.
” When the representatives of our institutions had no courage to take this responsibility, because they don't even trust them” ) Berisha has declared for ATV.
Berisha considers it a disgrace to President Vjosa Osmani, Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Chief Prime Minister Glauk Konjufca.
” It's a shame... what's happening today, burdens and shames, the level of president, prime minister and the prime minister, and other ministers. Because they are incredible for that judicial institution that we have established, today to guarantee the freedom of their personalities, that they are not of small weight for Kosovo and for history” Berisha has said.
The Special Court on Friday has indicated that it has rejected the demands of Kosovo Liberation Army leaders Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselin, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi for release from custody.
This is not the first time former KLA leaders have been denied a release request.
They are being charged with war crimes. The incident holds Thaci, Veselin, Krasniqi and Selimi responsible for a series of crimes allegedly committed at several detention centres during 1998-1999.
