Today (April 21st) marked the 95th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's birth, a day filled with sadness after the death of Prince Philip, with whom she shared a marriage of 73 years. On the occasion of her birthday, whose celebrations were not as usual, a declaration was issued to thank people for their support.
I have received many heartfelt messages and congratulations with the 95th anniversary case, which I highly appreciate.
As a family we are in a period of great sadness, it has been a comfort for all of us to see and hear about the prayers that are being offered to my husband, those within the United Kingdom, Commonwealth, and all over the world.
My family and I want to thank you all for the support and kindness that the last days showed us. We are deeply moved and we continue to remember that Philip had such an extraordinary impact on countless people throughout his life.
