The Pristina municipality has started preparations for massive eventual population vaculation, has confirmed in an interview for Online Economy, Deputy Chairman Muhedin Nushi.
He even said that the number of infected is on the decline, and according to him, citizens should be aware that the vaccine is the only solution.
“We have already started our preparations within the municipality and management team or operational staff within the municipality for any massive event vaccine that could happen in Kosovo. This can happen if we are supplied with vaccines enough to vaccinate the entire population. The number of infections is down”.
We are not currently seeing a reason or a situation that might continue. What is worrying is the large number of deaths we have not only in the municipality of Pristina, but also in the entire territory of Kosovo if we compare the number of infected to the number of dead”.
“Even citizens need to be aware that vaccines are the only solution in these cases when we have global pandemics what this is that has engulfed us from last year”, Nushi added.
The deputy chairman stressed that they are drafting the plan if required by the Government to distribute vaccines to the Family Medicine Centre.
“We are compiled the plan in case it is required by the Government and there will be no vaccine only at the Sports Hall Centre, where the vaccine is currently under way even where the staff part of the Pristina Community Family Medicine Centre” is under way.
“We, together with the emergency team, are drafting the plan in case the Government's request on how we can distribute the room for mass inoculation for the citizens of Pristina municipality. So every time we try as a municipality to decentralise service delivery so that it's not just a point where citizens will go because it will be able to infect if many are collected. Each will attempt to be vaccinated at the nearest Family Medicine Centre of their residence”.
