Why people (and the winning actor) were shocked by the latest award in Oscars

The tradition wants that “Best Picture” is the price that closes the Oscars ceremony, but this year, the last price was that for the best “Actor” and this ranking of prices seems to have not been random at all.
People's expectations were that the best “actor” award would be given to the late Chadwick Boseman for the role in film “Ma Rainey's Black Bottom”, which passed away in August 2020 as a result of a 4-year battle with cancer. The award was given, not to Boseman, but to 83-year-old actor Anthony Hopkins for his role in the film “The Father”. That said, organisers have assumed that Boseman's failure to elect would cloud the brightness of the ceremony's follow-up and chose to put this award to an end while the audience would look forward to his assessment. But no.
Joachim Phoenix, who won the best “actor” award last year for the role in “Joker”, received the award on behalf of Hopkins. Meanwhile, Hopkins, as he was declared winner of a second-time Oscar career award, at the same time making stories as the oldest actor to win the prestigious award, he apparently was sleeping.
I'm here in my hometown, Wales. At the age of 83, I didn't expect to receive this award, really. I'm grateful to the Academy. I want to remember Chadwick Boseman, who left us very soon. Again, thank you all very much. I really didn't expect it, I feel very privileged and honored.
In the “The Father”, the actor plays the role of an old man who, as he deteriorates, even doubts the family and himself and refuses help and loses control of reality.
On the internet, people and critics are considering the Academy's decision insulting both Hopkins and the late Boseman.
