The girl who was declared Miss in Papua New Guinea, a country in the ocean, was stripped of her crown after distributing a video of her making the powerful (inflammatoryly moving hinds) in TikTok, while critics say the incident reveals a deep culture of mysoggy in the country.
Lucy Maino, 25, who has also served as captain of the women's football team in Papua New Guinea, faced intense online harassment after publishing the video by doing TikTok.

Although the videos of this nature are common on the app, Lucy's already deleted video was considered by critics as suitable for a “model example”. The video was downloaded from the private account and distributed on social networking platforms and YouTube, where thousands of people criticised Lucy. After the video, she was stripped of Miss's crown.
Our primary goal is to empower women. We are a unique platform in competition style that promotes cultural heritage, traditional values and communication through tourism for our country and our people,”, representatives of the beauty contest said in a statement. “We promote the virtues of trust, self-esteem, integrity and community service with a parallel focus on education. ”
Allan Bird, co-chairman of the Coalition of Parliamentary Against Gender Base Violence, denounced online harassment for Lucy by writing on social media: “What kind of society condemns the torture and murder of women while being annoyed when a young woman makes a dance video?”
I am sure that if a man did a video in TikTok, we would all laugh or even praise him, he said.
