Albania's prime minister, at the same time as SP chairman Edi Rama, inspected today the new water supply of Vaut de Deja, where it was said that after 50 years of 2 hours of water a day or nothing during the summer, the new water supply of 22.6 kilometers of distribution network takes 24 hours to the homes of the area.
This investment of the Albanian government amounts to $1.5m. On this visit, it was said that the deadline for conducting this investment was for three years, and the work has been completed for 14 months.
Rama said that within 2022 all investment projects guaranteeing 24 hours of water in all Albanian urban areas will be completed, while it said that by 2023 and Tirana, as one of the most complex areas, will have 24 hours of water.
“Object is clear. We are able today to say with all our mouths that in all Albanian urban centres, we will have 24 hours of water within 2022 and Tirana will have 24 hours of water between 2022-2023, because it is more complex, so water is the last time that it is the subject of electoral campaigns because it will eventually have 24 hours for all urban centres. In areas where there has been no water 24 hours even in the time of communism, this job will be settled once and for all, it's the safest thing”, Rama said.
The water supply has welcomed the zone's deputy, Ilir Beqaj, who said the old water supply of the Sea Vaut was totally amortised and was built in 1965-1970 and had many losses on the grid.
He underlined that next week, the same investment municipality in the Mjeda waterwork, which serves an additional 1700 families and with these two water pipelines is selected about 60%-70% of the needs of the entire Daja Vau municipality.
