Kosovo Police General Director Samedin Mehmeti, accompanied by the KP's top management, held an official meeting today at the Regional Directorate of Pristina, to discuss work and police commitments, including integrity, code of ethics, communication, surveillance, and access to citizens.
Mehmeti, on this working visit, in which the management of the Regional Directorate Pristina, the commanders of stations, superiors and supervisors of different levels, thanked them for the commitments, results achieved, and for their current work in this challenging situation from the pandemic.
At the same time, Mehmet urged the establishment of responsibility in management and surveillance by superiors of all levels aimed at further advancing the credibility and image of the Kosovo Police, as a professional organisation in service of citizens.
Also, it was urged to oversee the work of police officials on the ground to have communication and professional access in all cases, regardless of the circumstances they face, by showing responsibility and accountability in the interest of service to better citizens' needs.
The Kosovo Police Management will remain committed to carrying out legal duties and responsibilities professionally to citizens and the country, so with the aim of a service as efficient as possible, potential non-professional behaviour and overcoming police authorisations will not be tolerated.
Kosovo police, meanwhile, thank citizens for the co-operation and confidence shown to the police, once encourages all citizens to report any illegal cases or possible non-professional behaviour by police officials, the media communiqué says.
