Three coronary patients died Wednesday after a fire at a hospital in Bangladesh's capital, Daka, officials said.
Patients, who were using ventilators at the hospital's intensive care unit, died after the fire caused an evacuation, said Nazmul Haque, hospital director.
It was not immediately clear what caused the fire, a fireman said.
Hospitals are trying to deal with a new increase in coronary infections this month in Bangladesh, reporting 559,168 cases and 8,571 deaths.
