Addressing the European Parliament's Commission for Foreign Affairs, Montenegro's deputy prime minister stressed that nothing apocalypse happened after the change of government.
“The new Montenegrin government, 100 per cent I can guarantee is not pro-ruse”, he said.
Our goal is to become the next member of the EU, which will be difficult to achieve because, as in other countries in the region and post-communist countries, it is not so easy to implement reforms quickly”, Abazovic said.
He stressed that he certainly believes that the quality of reforms is more important than the time needed for their implementation. Our “Agent is clear we believe Montenegro is a Western European country which is committed to Euro-Atlantic values”, he underlined.
Speaking of the prosecutor's laws, he explained that no results can be achieved with people currently running the prosecutor's office in Montenegro.
Abazovic stressed that the Government wants to follow the EU agenda and that it wants to do nothing that is against the will or EU standards, but that a common solution must be found.
