I got the news in real time when Blerta Batholl won the Best Director award. That was great and phenomenal news. For us, it was a thrill and a friend who had been able to obtain that reward. The next day, I realized we won the other two awards. It took me a while to absorb that news, that joy”.
These prices are not of personal importance to those of us who are part of it. This film weighs on our cinematography, our culture and Kosovo as a state. As far as I have information, I don't know how safe they are, but at this festival it's never happened to win three awards a movie in the region or even Europe. This is an extraordinary success, I'm very happy, and I'm proud to be part of this” success.
Gashi has stressed that film director Blerta Bashall from the year of 2011 is working and has written the film “Zgjoi”.
I was part of this movie since 2011, since Blerta had started working for him. About a decade is when it's started writing and working for this movie. I've been waiting for 10 years to play Fahrije Hoti, who's a woman who's amazing with her energy and the Stoic force that characterizes that woman”.

“Don't thank, act specifically if you want to put Kosovo on a map for good. The budget should be increased both in cinematography and in culture. They must seriously deal with the demands of artists and the needs they have”, Gashi has said.
