The State Prosecutor has issued communiques explaining investigations and actions so far over the theft of 2.1m euros in the State Treasury.
Through the announcement, the State Prosecutor has said two (2) persons who are in custody for criminal acts “have been arrested so far. Misuse of official duty and authorization” by Article 1414 paragraph 2 and 3 points 3.4 concerning KPRK paragraph 1 and “The release of money” from Article 302 of KPRK, regarding criminal activity “Money Laundering” from Article 56 of Law No. 05 L-096 for preventing money laundering and fighting terrorism financing.
Special Prosecutor announces public opinion that multidimensional investigative actions are under way, including institutions and entities like: Financial Intelligence Unit (NJIF), Kosovo-Department Police for Investigation of Corruption, Kosovo Tax Administration (ATK), etc.
So far have been interviewed by accountants in which the money has been transferred, witnessed interviews, document analysis, financial investigation and property identification have been made.
Also, we inform you that 34 bank accounts have been frozen, of businesses to which the money has been transferred from defendant K. S, owner of ( LDA Group Sh.p,k.
It is noteworthy that by now the overall frozen sum is around 600,000 euros, 4 vehicles have been seized, whose estimated value is 100,000 euros.
In the process of the realisation of money returns which have been attracted by commercial banks in the name of over-reliance realism, loans and so on, which have been generated by the illegal transfer carried out by defendants from the State Treasury.
The Special Prosecutor reports that under international judicial co-operation, we have made two (2) requests addressed to the authorities of the Republic of Turkey, concerning the transfer of 440,000 euros, carried out by the account of the S.C. Group, owned by indicted K. The Sh, on the account of a headquarters business in the Republic of Turkey. Establishment of the identified account has been requested, identification of the account owner, authorized persons, viewing transaction mirrors.
