Even in areas where there are no residents of this community.
That fact led to allegations that the Serbian List has intervened in the election process for guaranteed seats, in order to control about two-thirds of minority deputies.
The target of the charges is Adriana Hodzic's initiative, which is reportedly being helped by Kosovo Serbs' votes. A group of 49 civil sector organisations of Kosovo Bosniaks has reacted, saying they do not accept the result.
” Call on competent institutions to seriously address these unconstitutional phenomena and cancel illegal mandates because they are contrary to the guarantees involved in the Kosovo Constitution”, they are said to react.
This intervention is considered unprecedented, and incumbent Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti, who said Albanian subjects have never tended to interfere with the election of representatives of communities.
In a response to Klan Kosovo, he said relevant institutions and local and international monitors should address the issue.
” Representatives of non-US communities must be elected by relevant communities without any interference, as has been in preliminary legislatures and as the spirit of the constitution stipulates. Intervention that clearly took place in these elections is unacceptable because it conflicts with the principles and spirit of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo”, Hoti has declared.
From the Vetevendosje Movement and the Democratic Party of Kosovo said they are awaiting the Certificate of the 14 February election results to address their reactions as well.
