The IPK has announced that the event was reported to have occurred in the early hours of the morning, when the citizen was detained by police in Gjakova initially for a violation of traffic.
“Rasti is registered to IPK and investigators are engaged by taking concrete investigative action regarding this case by going to the scene. The complainer has been sent for medical treatment by police as a result of body injuries allegedly derived from the use of force by police officials.
Following some investigative actions in consultation with the competent prosecution, IPK investigators have arrested today three police officials (the officer at the Gjakova Police Station) who were involved in the incident.
Their arrest has been made on suspicion that the same were committed criminal work “mishandled during the exercise of official task” and “heavy body loss” but with the prosecutor's decision, the same has been assigned the detention measure for 48 hours and suspended from office.
On this case, based on legal authorization, The IPK has made the recommendation for suspension of four other police officials, said the IPK communiqué.
