Moralists: Demhaya says VV is seeking moral legitimacy for Kurti by invalid vote

But why does the Vetevendosje Movement insist that its leader, Kurti, uncensed by the CEC, get votes which will legally have no value? Arton Demhay, director of the Organisation for Democracy, Anti-Corruption and Dignitation , in a conversation with Radio Free Europe, expresses the opinion that the Vetevendosje Movement, in its inability to ensure that, as he calls it, legal legitimacy for its leader, due to its non-servation by the CEC, is aiming to achieve moral legitimacy.

There is no “Legal legislation because it is not certified. It's more about this part of moral legitimacy in front of the public. Tendence is more, in terms of Vetevendosje, which Kurti as party leader and as a certified candidate, aims to become prime minister. Then this goes public that although Kurti has not been certified as a candidate, has managed to get a certain number of votes, which they (LVV) can publish to somehow legitimise popular support to him. LVV has attacked much (heading prime minister, Avdullah) Hotin, who has so little vote managed to become prime minister and has hit him in this very issue of legitimacy”, Demhasaj said.

That the Vetevendosje Movement aims at moral legitimacy for its leader Kurti, it does not deny even Sami Kurteshi, a member of the CEC from this political subject.

The question is this, so we have categories of legitimacy and legality. Those votes are legitimate according to citizens' selection. They are not counted as legal because they are not in the brochures on the Vetevendosje Movement list. Nothing changes here. It means, statistically, votes for Vetevendosje are counted. In terms of legitimacy, people see who received the most votes, while in terms of legality, do not enter the candidate list like other candidates”, Kurteshi stressed.
