On the 14th anniversary of the death of two activists of the Vetevendosje Movement, Arben Xhedeeni and Mon Balaj, family and activists, along with VV leader Albin Kurti have been homazhe on the memorial plates at “Mother Teresa” in Pristina.
Kurts from there said late justice for Balaj and Jedidin is justice denied after 14 years.
“14 years ago in this square, 232 rubber bullets were fired on the troops of peaceful and unarmed protesters as they were withdrawing from tear gas. 8 seconds after tear gas were fired by UNMIK police from the Romanian unit, and not only on demonstrators who were demanding full independence for Kosovo, but were criticising and rejecting Ahtisaari's package with its injustices maiming sovereignty inside and making it difficult to walk before our country and our people. Arben Xhedeen and Mon Balaj are witnesses of the people's will for freedom. Justice delayed for them is first denied justice since the Romanian unit of UNMIK police's UNMIK has allowed them to release Kosovo along with their couples, while they were previously interviewed only as witnesses and not suspicious. The report that was later made by itself U n NMIC has shown that within the UNMIK police unit of 11 people, of course, 2 of them are assassins”, Kurti said.
Also present at this memorial event were numerous candidates for deputy from the Vetevendosje Movement such as Glauk Konjufca, Victory Pacolli, Fatmire Kolcaku, Arberi Nagavci, etc.
During today's LVV head Albin Kurti, accompanied by his wife, has also been homazing at the cemetery of Mon Balaj and Arben Geladin.
The two activists of the Vetevendosje Movement, Arben Xhedini and Mon Balaj, were killed on 10 February 2007 by the Romanian UNMIK Police, 14 years ago.
In addition to killing two VV activists, there were many wounded. Meanwhile, the tear that has been used was never seen before, but not until now. Even tear winds were not removed five days in Pristina squares
