Szunyog citing areas where there has been no progress has stressed that the latest report should be seen as opportunities for concrete action in the next year.
“Hopefully there will be more concrete decisions next year. It is important to view the report as a set of recommendations for steps to introduce a guide for action. Work on the next report starts now. Kosovo can do better: citizens deserve better”, Szunyog told Klan Kosova.
He has also spoken in some responses about developments in northern Kosovo months ago, suggesting that no dialogue agreement são Kosovo police bans deployment everywhere on state territory.
However, for the northern part, it says there is some tradition of reporting.
“There is no agreement in dialogue that prevents the deployment of special police units from south to north, but that is a common policy of close co-ordination with the international community as well as KFOR's preliminary announcement”, he said.
