The Democratic League of Kosovo supports the Government of Kosovo in relation to the refusing stance for establishing the Association of Serb majority municipalities. In the opposition party, they say that association should not be a condition for dialogue. According to them, dialogue with Serbia should happen only for achieving mutual recognition and resolving the fate of the undiscovered as the main point on the part of Kosovo. For dialogue, they require transparency.

LDK chairmanship member and MP Rzazarta Krasniqi says of Kosovo Press, that Prime Minister Albin Kurti has the Constitutional Court's decision on Association and should not accept any decision outside.

“Should not be condition for association (for dialogue). We as a party have the position on association, and the prime minister already has the verdict from the Constitutional Court. All that is against the constitution is not to be accepted. I expect dialogue to occur only with mutual recognition and to be on the part of Kosovo as the main point of fate of the undiscovered”, she says.

However, MP Krasniqi criticises the executive for the lack of transparency in relation to dialogue with Serbia.

It is this government and the same people that governments earlier have always criticised for nontransparity, while now in terms of dialogue we have had no transparency”, the opposition MP adds.

Krasniqi, who is also chairman of the Parliamentary Commission for European Integration, suggests to Prime Minister Kurti that he be more cautious in relation to statements for the European Union, as the recent clash with European top diplomat Josep Borell did not do him a favor.

It has not been appropriate, we should be cautious when dealing with representatives of EU institutions. That diplomatic clash doesn't do our country a favor of”, it concludes. / KP
