Kosovo police close the year badly depressed: We didn't get the 13th salary.

That is because the Kosovo government has ignored their request.

It has been announced by means of a communiqué for the Kosovo Police Union media.

The request has been very reasonable, given that Kosovo Police are the main security carriers in the Republic of Kosovo and that, at the risk of their lives, have successfully carried out all operational plans and decisions issued by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, including the Law on Predition of the COVID 19<1>, are said in the Kosovo Police Community.

“Dusion of all KP staff and unionists is too high for this ignorance that has been done by relevant institutions”, said further in the communique.

Based on the work and sacrifices during the conduct of day-to-day tasks and various operations of the Kosovo Police during 2021, the executive head of the Kosovo Police Union has initially met with the Minister of Internal Affairs, and on the 2012.2021, has addressed a written request for all Kosovo Police officers to be rewarded with additional equivalents of a salary at this end.

The demand has been very reasonable, given that Kosovo Police are the main security carriers in the Republic of Kosovo and that, at risk of their lives, have successfully carried out all operational plans and decisions issued by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, including the Law on Paradition of the COVID 19.

That our request has also been very deliberate is argued with the Law on the pandemic, Law, and Administration on the right to reward an additional year.

For all that was mentioned above, the Kosovo Police for 2021 did not receive any additional provisions that were guaranteed by law. And the agreement signed by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo to start from the 01.01.2021 date that has never been realised.

Our demands have not been ignored, even though they were essayal and minimal to be achieved as well and we have not received concrete answers about why they have not been carried out, bypassing laws and agreements in power.

The failure of all KP staff and unionists is too high for this ignorance made by relevant institutions.

The Kosovo Police Union is very determined to stand face-to-face with all the rights and requirements guaranteed with the Law of all Kosovo Police officers, who have never been realised.
