The decision to purchase art works of 247 thousand euros is cancelled: Ministry of Culture charged with disseminating them

The process for the decision to purchase art works by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MKRS) has been cancelled.

In the announcement from this ministry, it reportedly came due to numerous dissatisfactions from the artistic community over the selection of art works for state purchase.

Due to numerous disappointments from the artistic community over the selection of art works for state purchase, the Ministry of Culture has made a decision to cancel the whole process. Our commitment to support and empower Kosovo's independent cultural scene will not stop. We are committed to developing comprehensive processes in the service of the artistic community”, the MKRS report said.

And on Thursday, ahead of the MKRS facility, dozens of artists from the Visual Artists community who demanded by Minister Ceku annulment as a whole of the decision on the selection list and that the whole process was asked to return from zero.

The artist's remarks were about the amounts given for buying some of the works.
