For many of us, having a family means rushing to clean up our home and preparing mentally for questions about personal life.
What if you had some family members who would visit your home without an invitation and without warning?
That's what a woman is facing who wrote in Reddit, after her mother-in-law never calls before she appears on the doorstep.
The woman who first became a mother only eight weeks ago said she and her husband have asked her mother-in-law to call first, but she doesn't think she should.
She wrote: “I was born a child eight weeks ago, and since then my mother-in-law has been in the habit of coming without calling. I have anxiety at the best of times, but it's a little bit bad now when she comes, especially when my husband is at work and he's not there to mediate, writes Mirror, broadcast Klankosova.tv.
I think her criticisms (for example: looking closely at the floor as she says, you shouldn't have a vacuum. I'll bring you another time when I'm done. Like my husband and I wanted her to call before she came, but she says she shouldn't, saying the family shouldn't call”.
The woman later admitted that after having a particularly bad day last week, she decided to avoid all contact with her mother - in - law, pretending that she was not at home.
She added: the last “I was having a difficult day and I was tired because the baby was up at night more than usual. I looked out the bedroom window to see my mother-in-law going through the front door and honestly wanted to cry. I'm not proud of it, but I sat on the floor of the bedroom ignoring the doorbell until she left. Then I felt very bad because she did not drive, and I knew it would take 20 minutes to get home just to return. Apparently, she called my husband to work to say that he had tried to visit me because he called home to see if everything was okay. I told her she must have come while I was outside with the baby for a walk, because I didn't want to admit I was hiding from his mother”
