Women with large breasts get sick more often during winter, this study reveals reasons

Women with large breasts may have more than one excuse for getting sick during the cold season. Because new studies have found that women with large breasts suffer more cold than those with normal breasts.

In fact, larger busts result in respiratory infections that require twice as much time to clean up, according to research published in the magazine “Archies of Sexual Behaviours”, reports The Sun.

The study found that ladies with large breasts carry symptoms of colds, coughs and flu for an average of 8.3 days compared to only 3.8 days for those with normal bust. Those with larger breasts were also 56 times more likely to use a series of antibiotics.

The study said that larger breasts could lead to a weaker immune system. It is believed that breast - stored fat can weaken the immune system because of higher levels of the lactin hormone, which makes it harder to recover from colds and breast infections.

The research, which surveyed more than 400 young women on symptoms and duration of colds, flu and other respiratory infections they had experienced in the past three years, says that the breast's “size was positively linked to respiratory infections”.
