Kurt from Vienna rejects the Washington Agreement: It was Trump administration tactical movement, not to our advantage

Prime Minister Albin Kurti is participating in the discussion organised by the “Institute, Carl Renner” in Vienna, with the theme “Kosovo: A ray of hope for democracy in Southeast Europe”, Kurti has been asked about the Washington Agreement, which has continued refusing, while saying it was not for the good of Kosovo and Serbia [...]
Kurti speaking of the Washington Agreement has continued to reject despite the support this agreement has received from the Biden administration.
Kurti, apart from the point of mutual recognition between Kosovo and Israel, the other points and the Washington agreement as such, has described it as a kind of tactical of the Trump administration.
He has now said that this pledge, as Kurti refers to, and not as an agreement, was like an attempt at a quick deal, rather than Kosovo and Serbia.
“As far as the Washington agreement was concerned, mutual recognition with Israel was good, but this kind of uniform commitment between Kosovo and Serbia was with many tactical movements for past-Trump administration. As an attempt at a quick deal, rather than actually helping to move Kosovo and Serbia ahead of”, Kurti said, among other things.
As asked about the relationship with the Biden administration, he has said it is much better now, and that Biden is a social-democrat leader. Turning important issues of gender equality, climate and so forth.
“As far as the US is concerned with President Beden is much better off with leaders with progressives is a social-democratic, he has turned to the issue of gender equality, women's rights, climate rights, etc.”, Kurti said.
Meanwhile, it should be stressed that Washington's agreement and any other agreements signed between Kosovo and Serbia, the Biden Administration requires the parties to implement.
“We believe that countries have the obligation to respect the agreements and pledges that were made earlier. For example, the Biden administration carefully studied the Washington agreement that Mr. Vuciq and Hoti arrived at the White House and concluded that these are the things we want to see on the parties, keep moving forward to increase trade, increase investments, increase efforts to fight terrorism, etc. ”, said in a response of the Biden Administration.
The agreement signed on 4 September 2020 between the then prime minister of Kosovo and the president of Serbia contains 16 points. The same was signed in the presence of former US President Donald Trump.
Otherwise, Prime Minister Kurti has traveled to Austria's capital, Vienna, today to pay a two-day official visit.
