According to the study published in the British Journal of Sports of Medicine, the research group, conducted by Professor Emmanuel Stamatakis, had analyzed the data of more than 80,300 people aged 52.
Tennis reduces the causes of death from heart disease
Those participating in the study had been observed for nine years. During this period, 8,790 people died for various reasons.
The study showed that the risk of death from health - related causes was reduced by 47 percent in the tennis group, or badminton, and that especially tennis reduces the chances of death from a heart disease by 56 percent.
People who swim can have a 28 percent decline in risk of dying from health - related causes.
The same was true of those taken along with aerobs and gymnastics, because a 46 - percent decline was observed in this test group.
