The investigative commission that was set up to investigate boxing duels at the “Rio 2016”, led by Richard McLaren (without even investigating the doping scandal in Russia) has concluded that there was a corrupt system that alternative the results of duels.
During that Olympics, six judges were expelled directly and then four more were stopped.
While at least 11 challenges to that tournament were described as being faked. “That boxing system was a major problem of people in it who long acted beyond the rules of this sport”, said the investigative commission report.
At the time, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) threatened to exclude boxing and then took itself to management the International Boxing Federation (AIBA).
At this year's Olympics (Tokio 2020) the results were best, as there were only two controversial cases.
