Germany: Helicopter down, three people die

Three people have died as a result of a helicopter crash in Germany.

The tragic case happened at Baden Wurtemberg.

From the German media report, it is now unclear if anyone is missing.

Investigators are trying to figure out which location the helicopter “Robinson R44x1> started from.

A police spokesman said that once this is understood it would become known how many people were inside the helicopter.

The helicopter crashed on Sunday afternoon in a mountain in Buchen, near the border with Hessen and Bavarina.

The cause of the accident is still unknown.

The helicopter remains were found scattered for hundreds of meters in the middle of the mountain, according to police spokesman at the scene.

According to data from the Federal Bureau of Air Accident Investigation, helicopter accidents are rare.

Last year four accidents were recorded involving civilian aviation helicopters in Germany, and neither of them suffered serious death or injury.
