The Central Election Commission announced the final results of the first round of local elections for mayors of 37 municipalities, which were held on 17 October 2021.
In Mitrovica, the Democratic Party of Kosovo candidate Bedri Hamza was confirmed in the first round of elections. It received 16 566 votes, or translated into percentage 53.69%.
The outgoing chairman, Agim Bahtiri, who was the candidate of the Vetevendosje Movement, received 10 654 votes, or 34,53%.
While the candidate of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Armend Agolli, received 336 or 11,78%.
