President Aleksandar Vuciq said Serbia was awaiting Sinopharm's approval in the coming days, allowing the vaccine to begin within the week.
More than 20,000 Serbs have been vaccinated so far since they started in December, most of them elderly and health workers, Reuters writes.
Many have received vaccine doses from Pfizer/ B NTech or Russia's Sputnik V vaccine.
