This pandemic, in the most vulgar way, highlighted and deepened economic and social inequality among people. Everyone is discussing the general consequences of pandemic on the economy and society, but few are talking about how these consequences are spread between different levels and social groups. Few are talking about how the ones with the most were only enriched by the pandemic. Few people talk about how the most injured are the only well-paid private workers. It's the women, over which the closure and the restrictions of movement were aggravated for months.

Law enforcement in Kosovo was also distributed in the same logic. The law weighed upon the weak and became rubber for the strong. Citizens were widely condemned for failing to set masks, or disrespect movement schedules, while parties were publicly tolerated despite flagrant violations of the pandemic law.

This inequality became even more unbearable when the prime minister and the minister of health organised and participated in illegal activities where there was no respect for preventing the distribution of COVID-19. So today we symbolically decided to resell the effects of this pandemic. The 3m-euro punishment the state gave citizens, we decided to give to Minister Armend Zemaj, for implementing the principle he made to the pandemic law by adding to the lives of citizens.

We demand that all citizens convicted during the pandemic be immediately amnified by their sentences. The measure would only be a small act to ease the burden of pandemic that is suffering the most those who have the least.
