Today, 553 years are filled by the death of our national hero Gjergj Kastriot-Skenderbeu.
He was the strong dam of Europe's defense, who had the courage in all his confrontations. In addition to a staunch warrior, Gjergj Kastriot remains the icon of our unity. In early March 1444, in the Lezha Parliament, he achieved the first political union of Albanian princes of the time, with which the foundation of the medieval Albanian state was opened.
Skenderbe is the inspiration of resistance and freedom struggle at all times. But above all, it remains the unique model of unification of Albanians and as such will always be remembered!
May the memory of our masterpiece ever be remembered.
