Acting Agriculture Minister Besian Mustafa has said today that by February all second (twofold) subsidies to Kosovo farmers and farmers end up.
Although pandemic has also affected the agriculture sector, Mustafa said government commitment has been even greater for farmers.
Mustafa on Wednesday during a meeting with farmers in the Gjakova Bank Reca has stressed the ministry, which he is running has allocated over 100m euros in grants and subsidies for agriculture development.
“We discussed supporting farmers and farmers with grants and subsidies for 2020, without committing even double subsidies twice) that we will continue from the first week of February to end this month, February. Of course, 29m euros in grants for development of agricultural asset. So a budget for over 100m euros for developing grant-shaped agriculture and subsidies”, he said.
Festival Director “Goal” in village “Sheremet” Brahim Golay stressed that the purchasing power of milk products has fallen into the pandemic, so he demanded from Minister Mustafa that the separation of the means for grants and subsidies be shared as soon as possible for farmers.
We're trying not to get stuck in milk payments and farmers to continue supplying milk as they have continued so far. Not yet is the total amount of milk being accumulated because of pandemic and the loss of purchasing power. The ministry Mustafa promised that payments for grants and subsidies would be carried out early this year. I hope this happens as soon as I can, he said.
The acting minister, Besina Mustafa during the day, has also met Junik farmers.
