The fiercest debate in Denmark at the moment is the one about John Dillermand, the protagonist of a TV show for children, which is broadcast in the DR, the Danish radio and television public service company.
John Dillermand has a giant penis. In fact, it is so remarkable that he can perform rescue operations, paint, raise a flag, or steal ice cream for children. The programme is like a 4-8-year-old target and the fact that at the center there is a man with the longest penis in the world who displays the challenges of living with such a genius organ is controversial.
John Dillermand has tried to debate what is needed and what shouldn't contain a child show. Critics say that such a show has no message for children. Is this really the message we want to send to the children while we're in the middle of a big wave #MeToo?

The product came just a few months after TV host Sophie Linde started moving #MeToo to Denmark.
Erla Heinesten H '%sted, a clinical psychologist working with families and children, said she believes the show's opponents are thinking more than they should. “John Dillermand talks to children and shares their thinking with children and views their genital organs as funny. The show describes an impulsive man and not always in control who makes mistakes like kids do, but most importantly, Dillermand always does the right thing at the end. He bears responsibility for his actions. When a woman at the show says she needs to keep her penis in her pants, for example, he hears it. He's responsible. ”

The DR responded to recent criticisms by saying it could have been as easily made a “program for a woman without control over her vagina” and that the most important thing was for children to enjoy John Dillermand.
