Egypt's security forces arrested a pastry who prepared small (cupcakes) penis-shaped cake for a private birthday party of a sports club in a rich Cairo neighbourhood.
As one of the last examples of the Egyptian state's control of public morality, the pastor was arrested at her home, as soon as party participants took photos on social networks. State media reported that security forces identified pastry after receiving statements from eyewitnesses.
The occasion drew the attention of Minister for Youth and Sports Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, who said his department would form a committee to investigate the incident and punish the alleged authors.

The minister was questioned by the same court, which previously tried actress Rania Youssef for “contempt of Islam and violation of Egyptian family values” after commenting on her physics on a television programme. In June 2020, bellydancer Sama El Masry was sentenced to prison for three years and fined 300,000 Egyptian pounds (EGP) for violations of family values and immorality (approximately 1,943,000 AL).
Timothy EKaldas from the Tahir Institute for Middle Eastern Policy said: “The bottom line is not the prohibition on sexuality in the public sphere, but it is the restriction of sexuality that is beyond the control of men. ”

After questioning by prosecutors, the passion wife was released on condition she paid the 5,000 fine EGP (approximately 32,300 AL).
