Maria Grazia Chiuri, the Italian designer currently serving as Dior's artistic director, decided that for the Haute Couture Spring/North, 2021 should be back in time. It was inspired not only by the traditions of zodiac, astrology and tarot cards but also by the dress “Miss Dior” that debuted in 1949.
The collection was first released through a video, Le Château du Tarot, performed under the auspices of Italian director Matteo Garrone.
Dior announced that for the new interpretation of Miss Dior's dress, a team of six people was established, which ended after 800 hours of work. The dress includes the “gold lamé rouleaux”, which is a method that accomplishes the embroidering of small golden flowers.

The House of Fashion also published a video that visually describes the entire creative process of the dress. All the flowers and details are handmade and bound through a delicate and punctual process.
