More than 25,000 troops were deployed in Washington DC for its inauguration following the violence it took this month, Klan Kosova reports.
The images that were distributed showed soldiers who were forced to rest near a garage after lawmakers returned.
The conditions they faced stirred up anger at some politicians and some state governors.
Biden called the head of the National Bureau of Guard on Friday to apologize and ask what can be done, according to reports by American media.
First lady, Jill Biden, also visited some of the bodies to thank personally, sending them cookies from the White House as a gift.
I just wanted to come in today and say thank you to you and to everyone who kept my family safe”, she said.
