Anton Ceta's family through a public statement has suggested that it is against the Kosovo Bishop's decision that Anton Ceta's September be placed in the cathedral yard “Mother Teresa”.
The Kosovo Archbishop's move reportedly does not stand at ease with the mission of the wise man Anton Cheta. That is because according to the family, Ceta's activity was focused on science, education and national politics.
The Chetha family has even been addressed to Dode George with a letter requesting that Cetta's September be placed in front of the Philological School, even where it has been approved by the Municipal Assembly.
The following is a public statement from the Chet family.
Statement by the prof family. Anton Cetta about the decision to establish pro-September. Anton Chetta, in the courtyard of Cathedral “Mother Teresa”, Pristina
Family pro. Anton Chetta, claims not to comply with the decision made by Kosovo's Archbishop, as of January 15, 2021, September prof. Anton Cetta will be placed in the courtyard of Cathedral “Mother Teresa” in Pristina.
This action does not keep in common with the prof mission. Chetta.
As it is known, its activity has been in the realm of science, education and national politics in a superparty and superreligious sense. Memory of this event must be preserved in public spaces that best respond to its major national mission and should be preserved as such for successive generations.
The following can be found in the official letter, dated 24.12.20, by the trial family. Anton Chetta addressed My Lord Dode Gjergjit Idyzard of Kosovo.
Dear Lord Dode George,
In the quality of the Cetta family, we send you this letter through which we are declared about the September of our father near the cathedral “Mother Teresa” in Pristina.
We appreciate your initiative to respect our father's multidimensional image. But knowing his soul well, and being aware of his life and work, we continue to believe that his noble mission was accomplished based on the values of reconciliation, peace, religious tolerance and, above all, great love for his Albanian people.
We estimate that the father figure should be the model that transmits values to the new generations by exceeding all the differences in a multireligious society where we are, the model of impartiality and dignity.
Placing September within the walls of the cathedral court would conflict with its principles and intentions, so we as a family do not approve such a decision and hope very much in your support and understanding the September deployment in front of the Philological Faculty where the Communist Parliament approved it.
With respect,
Anton Chetta's daughters,
Donika Cetta Juncaj and Agata Chetta
