Whether you take credit for your work or promote the wrong people, a bad boss can make going to work terrible.
A recent study by the BamboHR, which surveyed more than 1,000 employees around the United States, revealed the main reasons why employees do not like their boss. And for the majority, the greatest reason was when he took credit for the work that wasn't theirs. Lack of trust and encouragement, employees who work long hours and promotion of the wrong people are also among the chief's worst behaviors.
Of all participants, 40 percent say that the primary reason they quit was because of the boss. And by that 44 percent, the boss's improper behavior was the main factor that led them to leave. Other issues related to management that force employees to leave are the style of management, disregardlessness, and bad temperament.
But the bosses also shouldn't be too social with their employees. In fact, on the average, 64 percent of respondents said that it is okay for their boss to reject a social media friendship worker's request. And 54 percent also say it is acceptable for a boss not to spend time with employees outside the office.
