Special: Gucati arrested for fear of witnesses

The Specialised Prosecutor's Office has said that the KLA's OVL chairman, Hysni Gucati, has been arrested for criminal acts “against administration of justice, in fear of witnesses, revenge and violations of the secret procedure, provided in the Kosovo Penal Code” respectively.

Through a media communiqué, the Specialised Prosecutor's Office has announced that following his arrest, Gucati has been sent to The Hague, where the Special Court is located.

AR RESTING And GUCAT'S TRANSFERING

Following his arrest by the Specialised Prosecutor's Office on 25 September 2020, Hysni Gucati was transferred to the detention facility of Kosovo's Specialised Chambers in The Hague. The suspect has been issued for the arrest of criminal acts against the administration of justice, for fear of witnesses, revenge and violation of the secret of the procedure, seen in the Kosovo Criminal Code, as included in Article 15K2. 05L-53 for Specialised Chambers and Specialised Prosecutor's Office.

Information about the date and hour of Hysni Gucatt's first appearance before the pre-procedure judge will be announced later. The first view will be made at an open session and can be followed by video broadcast online https://www.scp-x.org/sq, with little delay in broadcasting.
