According to a new research, less sleep can be linked to the strongest emotional response to stressful events
When you sleep less than usual, you will react to day - to - day stresses and they will affect you, FoxNews writes.
Almost two thousand adult Americans aged 33 to 84 have been surveyed eight days without interruption, while studying their length of sleep, daily stresses, the number of positive events they have experienced, and how they affected them during the day.
Generally, those interviewed have shown that they are less stressed when they sleep more.
Along with that, it has been found that those interviewed who have had a chronic situation “are more responsive to positive events” if they sleep more.
When people experience something positive, like. Their hugs or time in the wild usually make them happier that day.
But when they sleep less than usual, they cannot respond to good feelings because they are simply too tired.
The recommended guidance for good sleep is at least seven hours. It is estimated that every third adult fails to meet this health requirement.
The long - term improvement in sleep not only makes days of stress easier but also potentially reduces the risk of mental disorders, chronic health conditions, or even early death.
