Police call the writings in Serbian media untrue for “the kidnapping” kidnapping of a minor in Plemetin

Police through a media report say reports have occurred a <x0-tensing kidnapping”, against a nine-year-old child, are inaccurate and malicious for specific purposes that do not serve lawkeeping.

Police's full response:

Regarding information published in the Serbian media, which they say is that in the village of Plemetin of Obiliki, there has been a Tentim Kidnapation, to a 9-year-old child we are informing them that these publications are inaccurate and maliciously inclined for specific purposes that do not serve the preservation of the order, calmness and general security that Kosovo police are working on with dedication and professionalism.

On the date 29.09.2020 around 2:00, police have received information from a Kosovo Serb citizen living in the village of Plemetin of Obilic, over suspicions of trying to kidnap his child. Kosovo police have taken immediate action by sending the police unit together with police investigators, who have contacted and talked to the complaining side about the phone call. The same guy reported that his kid had come home running, where, according to him, a car was stopped by him and the kid was scared, because he thought he was trying to get him into car”

Police officials in the presence of the parent had held a verbal conversation with the child, where his statement and information were controversial and not creditable, which raised doubts.

It is noteworthy that the child's parent has not been interested in giving a statement or in starting a case, since he too understood and raised doubts that this had happened.

It is noteworthy that all police actions have always been undertaken in consultation and co-ordination with the competent prosecutor.

Kosovo police have taken continuous action to see the possibility of verification through cameras, to prove that at that time interval when the citizen announced, any cars or even any passerby who was nearby. However, after verifications into the field and watching cameras from competent police investigators, according to the announced time interval recordings, from 12:30-13:45, have passed a total (10) cars and none of them matches the child's statements.

Kosovo police to maintain order and guarantee public security have drafted an operational action plan concretely in mixed villages (multiethnic) -- consciously, the village of Babimovc, Plemeti and Vodica, adding patrol activity to both preventing an action aimed at harming the safety of our citizens regardless of their ownership.
