Recent developments in the country -- namely, the agreement signed in Washington between Kosovo and Serbia with American mediation, continuing dialogue in Brussels, as well as the topic of electing the president of the country has influenced that the foundations of the coalition between the LDK and the AAK be shaken. Kosovo's current president, Hashim Thaci, is expected to have the mandate expired in March of next year, and to capture his chair, he is now targeting AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj.

But for the LDK, it's early to talk about the post of president, while they said it was not part of the co-government agreement. AAK deputy chairman Paul Lekaj in a conversation for Periscope says Haradinaj's election is especially necessary in political developments, especially in relation to the definition of relations with Serbia.

On the other hand, Lekaj reasons Haradinaj's resignations from the Kosovo prime minister's position with calls made by the Specialised Chamber in The Hague.

The political conferences and developments that await us on defining our relations with Serbia, but also in relation to our friends, make Ramush Haradinaj, not only adequate but also much needed to lead the presidency in the order of the president's election. As prime minister, you have a dozen people and several concepts of partners around which you have to push ahead of the agenda, which Haradinaj has made until there has been no development as they have happened. You know, at both times, it's not like he resigned just because he woke up one morning and you were right. But because there have been invitations -- perhaps even as a form of pressure to issue -- from The Hague, we're doing here twice in 2005 and 2010 and also in 2019. So you see that the hard wall is hit most until it breaks.

On the other hand, Lekaj says the LDK has a lot of involvement in both government and dialogue, so it lets them know that this party should suffice the position of prime minister, Parliament Speaker and co-ordinator for dialogue. According to him, AAK, in some form belongs to the presidential post.

We are in co-governance with the LDK, so the LDK has the prime minister, and a member of them is senior, and they also have the co-ordinator for dialogue, so they have all the mechanisms and possibilities that are deeply involved in the final dialogue, and you know how many surprises have been flowing through the years in these negotiations on various issues that have not been pleasant for what should be organised within the country so that those developments do not come to life. So today, we're not telling any other coalition partners and all parliamentary parties, except, we want and need Haradinaj, as a witness that before national and state interest, no excuse is made, to be at the presidency from the moment that office remains without President Thaci possibly, Lekaj said.

The AAK's deputy chairman has also commented on Hoti's clashes with Justice Minister Selimi and Foreign Affairs Minister Melza Haradinaj- Staubla during his stay in Washington.

We don't have the political language and our arguments against anyone, we're just aiming to be more vigilant and persistent today so that tomorrow we won't be surprised for the worse. This language and these arguments, when Serbia has been in question, the Alliance has had the same alertness and eyes open for 20 years. Because we don't trust Serbia and its allies, there's nothing here to do with the LDK as a partner, with Avdullah Hoti as prime minister and no one else, so we're simply <x)alarming” over time for the risks of dialogue, and from which way we shouldn't and we can't have children. We with America as allies and all other foreign and internal allies are in order and grateful for the help and co-operation in this final phase of the Kosovo dialogue, Serbia. )

He has also commented on the launch of motion by the Vetevendosje Movement for the dismissal of the Hoti Government. Lekaj says LVV will not have the AAK's support for collecting signatures since, according to him, there is no reason to file a motion at present against the government.

We're in Government with partners and on the basis of a deal. The Alliance is not recognised under any circumstances for violating bilateral agreements and trust. We have nothing with the LDK and other partners in terms of governance, all ministers are in charge of office, and there is no reason to have the motion right now. But we have reconciliation on some issues seen as the tendency to bypass the people of the Alliance, and either the Alliance as a whole from the dialogue process, without what in the future could have political, legal and economic consequences for the country. With a recapitalisation, so it's about two sides of the government, foreign policy and dialogue with Serbia, which is not yet a line of agreement, and the daily topics the government has in Kosovo, which we are in order for, concludes Paul Lekaj./Periscopi/Zana Rugova/
