According to this institute's announcement, this delegation will be on a two-week mission to the Republic of Kosovo to increase the country's capacities in the battle with Covid-19.
RKI “Experts, including specialists from the Infectious Disease Epidemiology Department, the ZIG Information Centre for the Protection of International Health (INIG), Public Health Unit based on ZIG Evidence and ZIG Commission Support, make up the part of the RKI delegation to consult in the fields of supervision, epidemiology, risk communication and laboratory diagnosis.”

Institute mission Robert Koch (RKI/EMT/GOARN) arrives in Kosovo (September 21st), October 03rd 2020)
In order to strengthen the country's capacities in the fight against COVID-19, within the framework of bilateral co-operation with the National Public Health Institute, the Centre for Protection of International Health (ZIG) at the Robert Koch (RKI) Institute have sent a delegation to a joint (RKI/EMT/GOARN) mission in the Republic of Kosovo. 2-week mission (21 September 3 October) 2020, is launched and organised by the RKI in close co-operation with WHO and the Global Alarm Network and Response to Explosions (GOARN). I KSHPK and RKI have signed a co-operation agreement since March 2018.
RKI experts, including specialists from the Department of Infectious Diseases Epidemiology, the ZIG International Health Information Centre (INIG), the Public Health Unit based on ZIG Evidence and the Support of the ZIG Public Health Laboratory, make up part of the RKI delegation to consult in areas of monitoring, epidemiology, risk communication and laboratory diagnosis. A field mission for possible deployment of a mobile lab has been integrated into the mission. In collaboration with WHO consultant, staff RKI will carry out the assessment, implementation and monitoring of the Go.Data database platform, a WHO GOARN project in the country. Further assessments of Go are planned. The date in the area of the RKI Global Health Protection Project (GHPP) with Kosovo.
As far as clinical management is concerned, the mission's goal is to provide support and advice for the Ministry of Health in Kosovo and local health care workers related to clinical management of patients with COVID-19, as well as to implement the prevention and control measures of the (IPC) infection. To achieve this, medical experts will provide support to clinical personnel and training related to COVID-19 at the workplace.
In addition to expert co-ordination by the National Focal Points Team EMT in ZIG, this joint mission consists of medical specialists from the German Emergency Medicine Team (EMT) Humedica, Johann Unfahilfe and I.S.R. Germany, accompanied by experts from Universitätsmedizin der Charité, the Hamburg-Eppendorf Medical Centre and the Bundeswehr Medical Service Command.
