Coronervirus ' pandemic has changed people's way of life as well as their daily way of life, caused an economic crisis, and forced them to live with stressful situations. But according to experts, this could change the sexual and social behavior of young people.
Laura Lindberg, a researcher at the Gutmacher Institute, clearly states that young people “are not well”.
According to her, a large number of young adults are reporting suicide thoughts and “definitions of development and privacy in the pandemic are hitting young people”, reports The New York Times.
Many young adults currently live with their parents almost 24/7 and other relatives, which not only causes mental stress but also causes pressure due to increased family responsibilities.
A professor of pediatrics and family health at Columbia University Irving Medical Center David Bell, who was coauthor of an article along with lead researcher Lindberg, said that “would enter their parents' home, no doubt their autonomy and privacy changes”.
According to him, in some cases people have moved closer to their families, but for others, this has caused more stress.
Dr. Bell, who is the medical director of the Men's Youth Clinic at Columbia University's Irving Medical Center, has explained that the <x0->most of our young people don't have sex at the same frequency that we thought were”, and during the pandemic “that they would have had multiple partners in the past, they are certainly trying to whiteen it up to a certain extent<3>.
