“Two conspiracy theories, files or discovered by Serbia or purchased”

In his address, Vertopi said other attorneys licensed by the Special Court are of the opinion that jurisdiction should be established in the case of this court, speaking of having expired the mandate since August 3rd.

When it comes to the legitimacy of this trial, then the right to why the accused should be declared in this case for impeachment. I consider that rightly the accused has reserved this right (right to consult) and certainly has done so in consultation with the defence lawyer”,- Florin Vertopi said in an interview for Euronews Albania.

He expressed confidence that this issue could go to the Constitutional Court Chamber with headquarters in The Hague with a petition for assessing constitutionality.

Meanwhile Mr. Vertop explained to Euronews Albania that the case cannot be concluded to the court and tried unless a decision is made on defence complaints.

As for the files issued by the Special Chambers, the lawyer said they could talk about two conspiracy theories because there is something clear yet. The first fact that files may have been discovered by Serbia, and the second, the fact that they may have been purchased.

Florin Vertopi assured that the Special Prosecutor is doing his best to handle the case.
