After the regular meeting of Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency and two extraordinary sessions, a member of this state institution, Zelko Komsic, has said he and the leader, Sefik Xhaferovic, have voted to recognise Kosovo, and that Milorad Dodik was opposed.
“Dodiku has declined to recognise Kosovo as an independent state. We voted 2 to 1 on that decision. He was against and this would be a matter for the coming weeks. Dodik is expected to ask for the Assembly of Republika Srpska National Assembly and to present issues where Kosovo relates to dangerous stories that could escalate into stories of division, and I believe you all know where this is leading this”, Komssic said.
This decision on recognising Kosovo is not final, agreed to go to the second round of voting at the next session.
The presidency has also indicated that he and Dzaferovic have voted against Dodik's initiative to move the Bosnian Embassy to Jerusalem.
