Why are men even starting to paint nails?

Fashion and trends are always on the way, and sometimes they have meaning and no. The trends that consist in destroying a certain idea, or changing a long perception, are the best kind of development/changing, as they always end up, bringing more discussion and more freedom.

Apparently, nails painted on men are just such a moment. The trend, in fact, was born a few years ago, but it always raises debate as if it had just emerged.

A director of a fingernail study told Elle that “all started with Demnca Gvasalia on the Balenciaga show, a few years ago” and many famous boys, like Harry Styles, Asap Rocky or Pete Davidson, have been seen with their nails painted since then.

Garrett Munce, a writer for Esquire, reminds us that nails painted on men are not entirely new. We saw them at Kurt Cobai or David Bowie, but then only black or dark colors were used. Today, men are experimenting with various patterns of fingernail art, while others remain faithful to the black.

The idea consists of changing our thinking to absolute things: “levels of manicure, are not just for women, and everyone deserves to enjoy color in their lives. ”

Although Munce, he actually recommends that men use pale colors or blacks, since they combine better with their clothing.

Fashion people say that although the trend became popular with celebrities, it does not mean that even ordinary people cannot do the same, stressing that this does not necessarily involve their sexual orientation.
