Former Secretary of the United States: I was pressured but also threatened by various businessmen

Naim Bardiqi witnessed before the commission Tuesday in connection with the management of pandemic. Bardiqi said that during the time of the MS secretary, there have been threats from economic operators.

Bardiqi has responded that there has been no political pressure, but pressure from economic operators.

I didn't have any political pressure on the prosecution procedures. I'm inclined to respect the rules and procedures, and I'm never more involved than the general secretary's quality law gave me. The pressure has been due to economic operators, dozens of paperwork, which even vowed threats. Because during the time of the pandemic I have believed in the policy of administrative instruction for assigning the price of medicines and having held a meeting with the commission, for the fact that during the pandemic we have had price abuses on the part of economic operators”, he said.

For this, Democratic League of Kosovo deputy Ilir Ferati has asked Bardiqi if he has reported these threats to competent bodies. He said he has announced this case and that he has been contacted by the state prosecutor Monday.

I am inclined to all electronic corruptions to respond. I've always responded to economic operators with transparency, knowing others. The threat I no longer perceive as a threat and I don't call it on competent organs. I've had a threat that I've announced the competent bodies, yesterday the state prosecutor called me for this case and asked me if I felt threatened. I know the police have already started investigating right after the announcement. The prosecutor called me yesterday and told me if you were threatened, I said no to” has declared Bardiqi.

Bardiqi said there were times when economic operators called him and told him he was over the law and that he would be notified by the police.

Among other things, former Secretary-General of the Health Ministry said that instead of accepting an appreciation for the work he has done during this time, he has been dismissed and is reporting as a witness to this investigative commission.
