After his divorce with Prince Charles, Lady Diana, one of the most influential XX-century icons, was seen wearing marks such as Christian Dior, Versace or Jimmy Choo, but for a certain period avoided Chanel's clothing.
According to designer Jayson Brundson, who spoke of Harper's Bazaar (via Marie Claire) for his work with Diana in 1996, she avoided Chanel because of the brand icon logo, consisting of two C.
“Passi [John Bailey] finished fixing her hair, she was preparing for a visit to the hospital [in Australia] and had chosen a Versace costume. He went out carrying shoes and bags and just threw them into bed. He said: What do you think? I looked around and found a pair of Chanel shoes and I said, Well, these would look great with Versace. She told me: No, you can't. They have Chanel's logo. ”
Next, Brundson adds that he asked him why such a decision and Lady Diana replied: “I can't wear the logo with two Cs. It's Camille and Charles. ”
