We're tracking all reports, no matter what state. We've discussed reports from the research centre in Russia about the development of the vaccine. If we're convinced it's a serious product, then we'll be negotiating. But I don't want to disappoint anyone. The ministry's professional staff is working all the time. The vaccine will not emerge tomorrow”, Israeli Health Minister Yuli Edelstein has said, the Reuters agency reported.
Russia's President Vladimir Putin has announced on Tuesday that his state has approved the vaccine against COVID-19, after less than two months of testing on people. He even said one of his daughters took the vaccine. But Russia's announcement has been met with scepticism from other countries of the world. Suspected in the safety and efficiency of the Russian vaccine, which for the foreign market has been named “Sputnik V”, for not being tested enough.
Russia's Health Minister has denied allegations that Russian vaccine is uncertain.
Israel is developing a candidate vaccine itself and plans to begin testing phase in October. He also signed with Modern and Arcturus Therapeutics for the option to buy their potential vaccines.
