Infectologist Ilir Tolaj is saying that the virus that caused the COVID-19 pandemic is appearing in six types and is changing very little.
This is not changing, Tolaj is calling it good news for researchers working on developing the vaccine against this infection.
These are the results of the broader research done so far regarding the genomic structure of SARS Cov 2, of the scientists at the University of Bologna, which has included the analysis of 48635 coronary genomes, isolated in various labs around the world. The study has been published in the scientific magazine Frontiers in Microobicology”.
The first resolutions of this study are quite hopeful. Coronavirus SARS Cov 2 appears with little change, approximately 7 mutations in each sample. That's half less than variations that appear in the seasonal flu virus”.
This data says that the current coronary has already been optimized to infect human beings, and this explains its downward evolutionary change. This provision implies that the developing antiviral treatments, including vaccines, will be effective against it”.
There are currently six types of choreography SARS Cov 2, since the type L, the first one to have caused the epidemic in wan, isolated in November 2019, has already disappeared. Now around the world is the most common type G of coronary; about 74% of all samples belong to this type”.
“Pos these six main types of SARS Cov 2, researchers have identified several other rare mutations (<1%), which, even though they are being carefully monitored”.
